Located on the North Shore of Long Island, the Paumanok Camera Club takes its name from the Native American designation for Long Island, the name that the Long Island poet Walt Whitman preferred for this area of New York.

Our members often take inspiration from our interesting and varied surroundings. Though we started in 1972 in Setauket, we meet now at The New Village Recreation Center, 20 Wireless Road in Centereach, two Wednesdays each month at 7:30. The public is invited to attend all meetings, but only members can participate in competitions and special events. Annual dues is $80.

Guest-photographer presentations, member workshops and tutoring, field trips, and professionally judged monthly competitions are some of the activities that provide this friendly, social organization with the photographic information and experiences its members seek.

Club Meetings Are Usually Held on First and Third Wednesdays
